Opening iPhone photos in Windows
It’s quite common to use devices with different operating systems. Each of the currently most popular systems has its own operating principles, file extensions, and its own, often closed, work environment. Often, the choice of devices we work with is beyond our control, for example, we receive work equipment. How can we make them communicate? We need to use dedicated programs. A great and simple example is when we need to open a photo from an iPhone, which usually has the HEIC extension, in Windows, which doesn’t support reading HEIC files. Therefore, we need to install HEIC Viewer: a small, simple, and effective program for opening and basic editing HEIC files. It also allows us to save them as classic JPG graphics. And it’s free. It occasionally crashes when opening the file, but overall, it’s highly recommended. We work with it ourselves. Then, opening photos from an iPhone in Windows is no problem. We describe how to do this below.
