Fortunately, with the growth of the Mac App Store, many small, little-known apps have emerged that combine usefulness with low cost—and in the case of Typist, completely free.

Typist – a simple and functional typing tutor

During a lesson, instructions appear in the center of the app window, and detailed statistics are available at the bottom of the screen to track your progress: beats per minute, words per minute, and error rate. The lesson length and progress bar visualize your progress—green indicates successful completion, red indicates errors.

Additionally, Typist provides immediate feedback in the form of short beeps for every mistake. The app also allows you to customize your typing style and characters in the settings, allowing you to better tailor the exercises to your needs.

a simple, convenient, and free way to learn touch typing that can really help you improve your skills in a short amount of time.
